Hands on Deck! CMMFestival 2023

Join us for a fun and festive evening including a hybrid scavenger hunt where guests in the gallery and at home have the chance to win a curator-led behind the scenes tour of the museum for themselves and their friends.
This year's festival will be one of our most exciting yet, co-hosted by maritime folk singer Tom Kastle and Chicago waterfront and cityscape photographer Barry Butler. Tom and Barry will lead guests through a fun night of games, music, and refreshments as we reflect on all the work that CMM has done over the years to preserve the history of Chicago's waterways. Come make history with us as we try to reach our fundraising goal and learn more about what's in store for the museum next year.
This year’s theme, All Hands on Deck, represents how all vessels, from tug boats to lake freighters, make up the rich tapestry of our waterways. Likewise, donations at every level from all of our supporters are vital for the museum to continue our exhibitions, programming, and educational initiatives.
